Tripods with twist locks (ring locks):Unscrew the twist lock completely and carefully pull out the leg segment. There are two stop spacers at the end of the segment. Be careful not to drop these as they may come loose on their own. Important: When completely dismantling the tripod, remember which stop spacer plates belong to which leg segment, as these vary in size! Clean all parts gently with mild soapy water and dry thoroughly. The threads of the closures can be lubricated with silicone grease or spray. Never use contact spray or other lubricants! To assemble, hold the two stop spacers against the leg segment to be inserted. With a slight twisting motion, slide the small segment into the larger one until the notch between the two plates slides into the ridge inside the larger segment. Now push the two tubes together and tighten the twist lock again.

Insertion: Place the first sealing ring in the upper groove of the pipe on the thread. Then lightly grease the sealing ring. Place the second sealing ring in the screw cap. It is not necessary to grease the sealing ring. You will find detailed illustrated instructions in the operating instructions for your W tripod. To reduce the risk of dirt penetrating, turn the Twist locks open with just half a turn. This is completely sufficient for retracting and extending the tripod legs.

SIRUI tripods are generally not waterproof (with the exception of the W series). We do not recommend using the tripod (for a long time) in the water. If it has been in the water, it won't break. But it is advisable to dry and clean the tripod legs with a cloth afterwards. For more thorough cleaning, please read "How do I clean my tripod?" After each use in the water, before you put your legs together again, make sure you dry them well. The tripods of the W series are equipped with specially sealed twist locks and are waterproof. They can be used in the water up to the upper edge of the foam rubber handles without hesitation. After each use in the water, before you put your legs together again, make sure you dry them well.
The movement of the legs can be adjusted using a screw on the tripod shoulder. To do this, take the two Allen keys included in the scope of delivery and use them to tighten the screw a little for more strength or to loosen it a little. You will need two Allen keys to counter the screw on one side.
Movability can be regulated using the Allen screw in the flap closure. Use the Allen key included in the scope of delivery for this. It may be necessary to adjust the flip locks if the tripod is exposed to strong temperature fluctuations. The change in folding strength at different temperatures is not a defect but is due to the nature of the materials used.IMPORTANT: Do not overtighten the fasteners. Test yourself slowly by closing and opening the clasp again and again. If it is over tightened, it may be damaged when you close it if the tension is too high.

Mount the ball head on a tripod. Then turn the ball locking knob clockwise and tighten it as much as possible. Finally, unscrew the friction control counter-clockwise until it stops. After that, the head should release normally again.
No, the base of the heads is not interchangeable. It can be removed with great effort, but correct functionality of the head can no longer be guaranteed afterwards. This also invalidates the SIRUI guarantee.
No, absolutely not. The U-bolt is not intended for, and we strongly advise against using, a strap or hand strap. The bracket is used to tighten the screw by hand. An Allen key should also be used for a really tight fit.For using camera straps, we recommend the SIRUI removable plates TY-LP40, AM-LP40, TY-LP70 and AM-LP70.
